Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 AotS Benchmark Leaks
Mike Sanders / 4 years ago
Unless something very unusual happens, and given the state of the world over the last year, we certainly wouldn’t rule it out, the Nvidia Geforce RTX 3060 graphics card will officially be released on February 25th. With review sample holders reportedly only receiving their drivers within the last 24-hours, however, while we haven’t seen many benchmarks leaks so far, we can likely expect them to start coming thick and fast over the next few days as people get more than a little anxious to share with the world just how good (or bad) this new GPU is.
In representing one of the first major leaks, however, following a report via Videocardz, benchmarking results of the 3060 in the Ashes of the Singularity tool have leaked online and, overall, the results are certainly more than a little encouraging.

Based on the results shown in the tests, the comparative scores would suggest that the 3060 will offer (roughly speaking) around 20% faster performance when compared to the 2060. Additionally, it would even suggest that this new GPU will possibly outperform the 2070 by a margin of around 10%.
So, overall, the 3060 is certainly looking to be a pretty decent proposition. Albeit, there is a fairly notable caveat we nearly always feel obliged to mention with these particular benchmarks.
What Do We Think?
Some may disagree, but we here at eTeknix have never felt overly confident about ‘Ashes of the Singularity’ as a comparative benchmarking tool. Quite frankly, although we appreciate some opinions undoubtedly differ, we just find that it lacks the consistency and optimization to give truly accurate comparable results. We view it as an indicative and useful tool, but not authoritative.
So, in other words, take this with a moderate grain of salt. Don’t worry though, although I’m definitely not for one second saying that we a 3060 in our possession at the moment when the review embargo breaks, we’ll be more than ready to bring you all of the benchmarking results showing masses of comparisons with other graphics cards in both synthetic and gaming benchmark performance.
