NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU Leak

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU Leak Shows Higher Performance Than RTX 4060 with Lower Power Usage

NVIDIA‘s upcoming GeForce RTX 5060 laptop GPU is rumored to deliver significant performance improvements over its predecessor, the RTX 4060, while using less power. According to recent leaks shared by Chinese manufacturer Hasee, the new GPU will feature GDDR7 memory and could offer performance comparable to the RTX 4070 laptop GPU, especially in ray tracing scenarios.

NVIDIA’s Next-Gen GPUs Offer Major Upgrades

At a recent event, Hasee’s chairman Wu Haijun revealed that the GeForce RTX 5060 laptop GPU will have a maximum Total Graphics Power (TGP) limit of 115W, which is lower than the 140W limit of the current RTX 4060. This reduction in power consumption is expected to enhance gaming performance without compromising battery life. The GPU’s efficiency and the inclusion of next-generation technologies like DLSS could make it a strong choice for gamers looking for a balance between power and performance.

Hasee’s announcement aligns with previous reports that the RTX 50 “Blackwell” series will be the first to use GDDR7 memory, which offers higher bandwidth and improved VRAM capacities. This technological leap is anticipated to provide a noticeable boost in both ray tracing and rasterization performance, potentially outperforming the RTX 4070 in some gaming scenarios.

With these advancements, the RTX 5060 could be a major player in the laptop market, offering high-end performance in a more power-efficient package. NVIDIA is expected to launch the RTX 50 series at CES 2025, with laptops featuring the new GPUs arriving in the first half of the year.
