NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti Rumored to Launch on April 16, Priced Like the 4060 Ti

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti Rumored to Launch on April 16, Priced Like the 4060 Ti

New rumors suggest that NVIDIA is getting ready to release the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti with two memory options, keeping prices similar to the previous RTX 4060 Ti.

According to leaks from Board Channels, NVIDIA plans to launch the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti on April 16, offering two versions at the same price as the RTX 4060 Ti: one with 16 GB priced at 499 dollars and another with 8 GB priced at 399 dollars. While this information has not been officially confirmed, it is believed that the new GPU will feature the GB206-300-A1 chip with 4608 cores and a 128-bit memory interface. Both the 16 GB and 8 GB versions will use GDDR7 memory running at 28 Gbps, delivering a total bandwidth of 448 GB/s. This is a 55% improvement compared to the RTX 4060 Ti. The GPU will also have a TDP of 180W, which is 20W higher than the previous model.

Performance and Differences Between the Two Variants

The key difference between the two versions of the RTX 5060 Ti is memory capacity. The 16 GB version, which costs 100 dollars more than the 8 GB version, is ideal for gamers who want the best performance in demanding games or professionals using high-performance applications. However, the higher price may make the 8 GB option more appealing due to its better value for money.

Competition and Availability

These new GPUs will compete with models like the RTX 5070 and the RX 9070 Non-XT. However, availability may be an issue. Although a simultaneous launch for both variants is planned, past experiences show that early stock could be limited, and prices might rise quickly.

Unlike the previous models such as the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070, which saw a price drop of 50 dollars, NVIDIA seems to be keeping the price of the RTX 5060 Ti the same as its predecessor. If these rumors are true, the launch of the RTX 5060 Ti would complete the RTX 50 Blackwell series, which also includes the RTX 5060 and RTX 5050 models. However, we still don’t know if NVIDIA will be able to offer a competitive price and ensure sufficient availability to meet the market demand.
