Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 Founders Edition Review
3DMark TimeSpy Extreme
3DMark Time Spy Extreme is a DirectX 12 benchmark test that pushes even the most powerful gaming PCs to their limits. It renders at a demanding 4K resolution (3840 x 2160) and includes a CPU test designed to measure the performance of high-end processors with 8 or more cores. This makes it an ideal benchmark for evaluating the latest graphics cards and top-of-the-line CPUs, especially when considering demanding tasks like gaming at 4K resolution and beyond.

Starting with a synthetic test and 3DMark Timespy and it’s here where we see the RTX 5080 nestled in below the RTX 4090. In terms of uplift, we do find a 13% increase in performance over the RTX 4080 and 8% over the RTX 4080 SUPER, which now puts the 5080 above the 7900 XTX from AMD by 6%, so a good start in terms of standings, but not exactly groundbreaking compared to other cards.
