Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 Founders Edition Review
3DMark TimeSpy Extreme
3DMark Time Spy Extreme is a DirectX 12 benchmark test that pushes even the most powerful gaming PCs to their limits. It renders at a demanding 4K resolution (3840 x 2160) and includes a CPU test designed to measure the performance of high-end processors with 8 or more cores. This makes it an ideal benchmark for evaluating the latest graphics cards and top-of-the-line CPUs, especially when considering demanding tasks like gaming at 4K resolution and beyond.

So first let’s look at a synthetic benchmark, considering we spent the last couple of weeks retesting 64 graphics cards in 3DMark to bring you some content, so you can check that content out to see how your current GPU ranks if you have something lower-end that what we’re showing today. For now though, the RTX 5090 come in with a performance uplift of 19% over the RTX 4090, which is nice to see, but initial testing I think will leave consumers expecting a little more though what’s interesting is how the graphics score increases by 34%, showing that maybe our CPU, even with a 9800X3D is being pushed to its limits but being a synthetic test, gaming may show something different.
