NVIDIA GTX 1050 TI’s PCB and GP107 GPU Pictured

As the release date of the GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 Ti draws closer, leaks from numerous sources are beginning to emerge. The latest piece of information stems from VideoCardz and clearly shows a number of pictures of the GTX 1050 Ti’s PCB layout, power circuitry and core. According to the snapshots, the GTX 1050 Ti will have the option to use a 6-pin PCI-E if vendors want to push the overclocking headroom even further. Please note, some of the samples may simply power the GPU completely from the PCI-E slot. Also, the power is distributed along 3+1 phases which is a suitable choice given the GTX 1050 TI’s low-end configuration.

Here we can see the label confirming the graphics card’s model name and outlining the product’s 4GB of video memory. Whether there will be cheaper versions sporting 2GB remains to be seen, but I’m expecting the 2GB frame-buffer to remain a feature of the GTX 1050 and not GTX 1050 Ti.

As you can see, the GTX 1050 Ti utilises NVIDIA’s GP107 graphics processor which is significantly smaller than the GP106 core. According to the information thus far, the GTX 1050 Ti’s performance is similar to AMD Radeon R9 380X although this isn’t verified. Whatever the case, it will be interesting to see what price point the GTX 1050 Ti comes in at and how it compares with existing products.
