With the 6800 series launch on the horizon, there have been several claims about price cuts on the GTX 460 and 470 cards from the green team and with the 470 prices already falling in the past weeks, it seems the rumours were right and the GTX 460 will follow suit.
The GTX 460 is one of the most competitive cards around, giving users a slight edge over comparable priced cards from AMD and with its 4th month of sales in tact, it seems more price cuts are to be done to the mid-range beast of a card. The card originally hit our stores in July and since, has dropped around £50 since its launch, but it seems that another £10 or so shall be shed from its fatty price tag.
These price cuts should be across the whole range of GTX 460 cards including the 768MB and 1GB versions but exact figures are hard to guesstimate, so we will have to wait, just like you.
Other sources are also giving the same information to regards to AMD’s 6800 series cards, before they are even out, exclaiming that they will be cheaper than first anticipated.
