CoolIT a brand synonymous with liquid cooling has announced their latest product, the OMNI N590 A.L.C cooler for NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 590 GPU’s. It is said to solve the thermal issues that come with running Quad SLI, as one would imagine. Currently there isn’t a decent picture of the OMNI GTX 590, only a 3D Rendered version.
CoolIT have been making GPU water-cooled systems for a while but have claimed that their new OMNI 590 for the GTX 590 can reduce temperatures up 30 degrees cooler than the stock integrated cooler.
As well as reducing noise since the OMNI 590 is a enclosed self contained liquid cooling solution, not to mention their line of OMNI A.L.C have won 2010 CES Innovation Design & Engineering Showcase Award.
Pricing hasn’t been announced but it is available from premier system integrators such as MAINGEAR, Falcon NorthWest and Puget as a complete system, meaning the GTX 590 with the OMNI 590 pre mounted.
The only issue I see with this solution is the claim for QUAD SLI support, would require at least 4 120mm fan placements within a case, would could result in higher temps on other components if the rest of the machine is air cooled, although if you’re willing to invest in 4xGTX 590 with OMNI 590 then you would most likely have a water-cooled system.
