With the RTX 20 series, NVIDIA released a SUPER refresh of the cards within that lineup which landed them between their standard models and Ti variants in terms of performance. Since then we haven’t seen anything from the 30 series with the SUPER tag however the floor is still open on the 40 series for a SUPER refresh with new rumours surfacing today.
Hongxing2020 is well known for early information on hardware and has today made a Tweet (Via VideoCardz) hinting towards a SUPER refresh for the RTX 4080, 4070 and even the 4070 Ti which is quite an interesting rumour. The RTX 4080 does have a lot of potential between it and the 4090 so a refresh or Ti variant is highly expected to fill that gap. Now the 4070 Ti is quite interesting as it would be a first as SUPER has not been used alongside Ti before.
Back in October 2021, hongxing2020 made a similar claim for a SUPER refresh on the 30 series which of course did not come to light, so as usual take this all with a grain of salt, it may be on the planning table but it may never actually leave the planning table.
