The rumoured RTX 3050 6GB variant has officially been launched offering a low power gaming solution without the requirement of power cables due to just a 70W TDP.
The RTX 3050 6GB is NVIDIA’s latest GPU and attempt at making some gains in the budget market by cutting down the RTX 3050 to 6GB of GDDR6 as well as knocking its clock speeds down to achieve just a 70W TDP. So far the card has been released by GIGABYTE in a press release, MSI & Palit cards have been spotted elsewhere. At the moment Gigabyte’s website doesn’t list these cards, but the press release shows two models including an Eagle Dual, and a Low profile variant both without power connectors.
For pricing there aren’t any listings from major UK retailers or US retailers so I can’t say for certain, though via computerbase.de, listings for both MSI and Palit models are up at mindfactory.de starting from 183 euro ($200). We’ll find out more about how these cards perform as they get into the hands of testers where we can find out whether they’re worth worrying about at all from a budget standpoint.
