NVIDIA has unveiled the latest Game Ready driver which includes an SLI profile for Fallout 4 and optimizations for Just Cause 3 and Rainbow Six Siege. Not so long ago, NVIDIA promised to have drivers ready for major releases, but it seems they fell slightly behind with Just Cause 3. Nevertheless, it’s only a slight delay and I’m fascinated to see how the game runs with this latest update. Here is a complete rundown of the driver changes:

“Application SLI Profiles
Added or updated the following SLI profiles:

  • Fallout 4 – SLI profile added
  • Just Cause 3 – Single-SLI profile added
  • Umbrella Corps – SLI profile added

3D Vision Profiles
Added or updated the following 3DV profiles:

  • Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate – Not recommended
  • Just Cause 3 – Not recommended
  • Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege – Not recommended

3D Compatibility Mode Profiles
These games must be run in DirectX 10/11 mode to see improvements and are not compatible with 3D Vision Surround mode. See “3D Compatibility Mode” on page 7 for more information.

Added or updated the following compatibility mode profiles:

  • Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate – Excellent
  • Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege – Not recommended

Software Modules

  • NView – version 146.78
  • HD Audio Driver – version 1.3.34.4
  • NVIDIA PhysX System Software – version 9.15.0428
  • GeForce Experience – version 2.7.4.10
  • CUDA – version 7.5

Changes and Fixed Issues in Version 359.06
The following sections list the important changes and the most common issues resolved in this version. This list is only a subset of the total number of changes made in this driver version. The NVIDIA bug number is provided for reference.

Windows 10 Fixed Issues
– There are no new fixed issues to report for this release.

Windows 8.1/Windows 8/Windows 7/Windows Vista Fixed Issues
– Call of Duty: Black Ops III crashes on NVIDIA hardware. [1702129]”

Just Cause 3 appears to be having some issues on a wide range of hardware and requires a pretty good setup. Nevertheless, open world games are usually fairly unoptimized on launch and things should improve through a number of driver updates.

You can directly download the latest driver for Windows Vista/7/8/8.1 here and Windows 10 here.
