Nvidia Releases a Game Ready Driver for Ashes of the Singularity

NVIDIA has just released its GeForce 355.60 WHQL Game Ready driver, which aims to ensure the best possible gaming experience for the upcoming Ashes of the Singularity real-time strategy game. Developed by Stardock, this new RTS promises to be the first to include support for DirectX 12, but the upcoming preview edition of the game will also include support for DirectX 11. The new Game Ready driver also offers support for the Beta version of the GameWorks VR software development kit thus allowing gamers to enjoy GameWorks VR features with various applications and headsets.

Other highlights of the new driver include new SLI profiles for Devil May Cry 4: Special edition and Next Car Game: Wreckfest. Personally, I’m much more excited for Ashes of the Singularity, and I can’t wait to experience the performance improvements when switching from DirectX 11 to DirectX 12. The minimum requirements for the Alpha version of the game demand a 2GB DirectX 11 video card and a quad-core CPU, while the recommended ones suggest a 4GB DirectX 11 video card and a Core i7 or equivalent CPU. Obviously, these might change as the game matures.

You can download the new drivers from NVIDIA’s own page right here, or you can opt to get them through GeForce Experience.
