Nvidia Report ‘No Broader Issues’ With Reported 2080ti Failures

Nvidia Report ‘No Broader Issues’ With Reported 2080ti Failures

There have been a number (of largely unconfirmed) reports that early adopters of the Nvidia 2080ti graphics cards have been having problems with their brand-spanking new GPU. Namely that the card is breaking within a remarkably short period of usage.

These reports are isolated, but as is the fashion with the internet, it hasn’t stopped the rumour mill suggesting a much larger problem is at hand.

In a report via PCGamesN though, Nvidia has been quick to attempt to quell the rumours saying that there are “no broader issues” with the card.

A Key Point To Note!

While this might be encouraging to some, you do have to take note of the words used. Although an official statement hasn’t yet been issued, the company has said:  “We are working with users individually, but we are not seeing any broader issues.”

This would seem to confirm, at the very least, that some people are indeed having problems with their top-of-the-line card.

Issues Reported

In terms of what’s actually going wrong, the news varies quite considerable. Some report BSODs during operation, some report artefacts (rogue pixels appearing), while some have even cited their card being bricked or simply broken.

At present, it does appear that this issue might be limited to the ‘founders edition’, but that has not been definitely confirmed either.

It, therefore, seems that although the 2080ti might be pretty awesome in terms of how it operated, it might be hiding a few gremlins in the design.
