Horizon Zero Dawn

Experience Aloy’s entire legendary quest to unravel the mysteries of a world ruled by deadly Machines. An outcast from her tribe, the young hunter fights to uncover her past, discover her destiny… and stop a catastrophic threat to the future.

Unleash devastating, tactical attacks against unique Machines and rival tribes as you explore an open world teeming with wildlife and danger. Horizon Zero Dawn is a multi-award-winning action role-playing game – and this Complete Edition for PC includes the huge expansion The Frozen Wilds, featuring new lands, skills, weapons and Machines.

Available now on Steam.

Horizon Zero Dawn sees the RTX 4060 Ti sitting in the middle of our stack, again, right between the 3060 Ti and RTX 3070 by 3 and 4% respectively The 1% low figures are a little lower here but could be deemed margin of error, though re-testing gave us similar results.

At 1440p, the 4060 Ti actually dropped below the 3060 Ti by 3% and again with slightly worse 1% low figures too. Horizon is definitely a game that throws up some outliers, especially when it comes NVIDIA based cards.

  1. Big woop.
Similar rasterization to a 2 year old 6700XT, which comes with 12Gb and not 8Gb and is still $80 cheaper today. Yes, it has better Ray Tracing and DLSS3, but enabling RT creates such low frame rates that it is unusable. DLSS is not much better than FSR. Want more Vram, then there is a 16gb version, but be prepared to spend an additional $100….
I would be more impressed with a cheaper 4070.
