3DMark Timespy Extreme

Time Spy Extreme is a new 4K DirectX 12 benchmark test, available in 3DMark Advanced and Professional Editions. You don’t need a 4K monitor to run it, but you will need a GPU with at least 4 GB of dedicated memory. With its 4K Ultra HD rendering resolution, Time Spy Extreme is an ideal benchmark test for the latest high-end graphics cards. The CPU test has been redesigned to let processors with 8 or more cores perform to their full potential

First up we have 3DMark Timespy Extreme and here the 4060 Ti sits in the middle of our chart offering up 5% more performance than the 3060 Ti in the overall score and 6% more in the 1% lows which puts it just below the RTX 3070 performance wise.

Port Royal showed strong performance that puts the 4060 Ti 11% faster than its predecessor, the 3060 Ti and places it just under the RX 6800 from AMD by a small 2% in the score, and a single FPS behind both the RX 6800 and RTX 3070 showing that the latest generation of RT cores really does make a difference.

  1. Big woop.
Similar rasterization to a 2 year old 6700XT, which comes with 12Gb and not 8Gb and is still $80 cheaper today. Yes, it has better Ray Tracing and DLSS3, but enabling RT creates such low frame rates that it is unusable. DLSS is not much better than FSR. Want more Vram, then there is a 16gb version, but be prepared to spend an additional $100….
I would be more impressed with a cheaper 4070.
