With the release of the NVIDIA RTX 4070, we are now turning our heads towards the next card to be released with the RTX 4060 and 4060 Ti and following some rumours the latter may see an MSRP of $450.
NVIDIA’s RTX 4060 and 4060 Ti are currently expected to be seen in May and now according to sources to RedGamingTech, we may be seeing the Ti variant of the 4060 sold for an MSRP of $450 just $150 below the recently released RTX 4070. The RTX 4060 and by extension Ti should represent the “entry-level” options from NVIDIA however these prices don’t seem to reflect that but we shouldn’t be surprised this was definitely expected.
Based on the current rumours the 4060 Ti is expected to utilise the AD106 chip with 4,352 CUDA cores with 8GB of GDDR6 on a 128-bit bus which has been a hot topic as of late. Many people don’t see 8GB as being fit for modern graphics cards, especially for one that may cost as much as $450, if the 3060 could feature 12GB of VRAM, why can’t its next-generation Ti counterpart feature 12GB? It’s a similar story for the 4050 which is rumoured to see just 6GB which is 2GB less than its last-gen counterpart.
What do you think of this pricing, actually I won’t ask I already know your answer.
