The brutality of how fast the RTX 4080 really is just keeps on coming in Death Stranding where we find another instance of CPU bottlenecking, which is so bad, that the 4090 actually performs worse than the 4080, though that doesn’t stop us seeing a 16% performance uplift over the 3080 Ti from the last generation.
Moving up to 4K and it’s clear to see how a lot of these cards are tuned for 4K, as we now see the likes of the 6950 XT moving towards the top of our chart, though it’s still not enough to get close to the RTX 4080 which sits 7% ahead, and compared to the 3080 Ti, now comes in 24% faster at this resolution.
