Nvidia RTX 4090 Graphics Card Review

Acoustics
The acoustic performance of a graphics card is very important, it’s one thing for a graphics card to do a great job rendering your game, but if it sounds like a jet engine while it does it, it may detract from the gaming experience. Ideally, we’re looking for lower noise here, while still delivering great cooling performance. Lower noise levels mean there’s still overhead to push the cool harder while overclocking.

Thermals to one side, the acoustics were pretty reasonable, with the MSI coming in at 40 decibels during load, while the Gigabyte card came in slightly higher at 45 decibels, but both fall within what I’d personally class at reasonable limits.
