NVIDIA has scheduled its opening conference for January 7th, where CEO Jensen Huang will present the highly anticipated RTX 50 Series graphics cards. While we await the official announcement and full details, rumors continue to circulate about the expected models for 2025. One of the most talked-about claims is that the NVIDIA RTX 5060 Ti will come equipped with 16 GB of VRAM, whereas the standard RTX 5060 will be limited to 8 GB.
Hardware Rumors and Memory Differences
Reports suggest both models will utilize the PG152 motherboard paired with a GB206 GPU, although these details have not been confirmed. What is certain, however, is the significant memory difference between the two variants. The RTX 5060 Ti will feature double the VRAM of the standard RTX 5060, with 16 GB compared to the 8 GB of the non-Ti model. This increase in memory will likely offer a performance boost, particularly for more demanding applications.
GDDR7 Memory and Enhanced Bandwidth
Another key change for both models is the switch from GDDR6 to the newer GDDR7 memory, which will deliver higher speeds even with the smaller memory pool. This upgrade will enable both the RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti to support a 128-bit bus and a bandwidth of 448 GB/s, offering up to 65% more bandwidth compared to the RTX 4060.
According to further rumors, these models may not hit the market until later in 2025, possibly around February or March. However, we can expect more detailed information on the full range of RTX 50 Series cards during the conference on January 7th.
