NVIDIA’s new RTX Video HDR technology is now available to use through the NVIDIA Studio Drivers which effectively transforms SDR video playing to HDR videos in web browsers.
RTX Video HDR was first announced at CES and it is a tool which uses AI to enhance standard dynamic range videos into stunning high dynamic range videos on internet browsers, its similar to the existing RTX Video Super Resolution which it can work in tandem with. The video from NVIDIA below demonstrates RTX Video HDR.
RTX Video as the name suggests, requires an RTX series graphics card and a display with HDR 10 compatibility. RTX Video HDR can be used on Chromium based browsers and can be enabled by following the following steps:
