Its reported that Nvidia is working on a new graphic card that will be placed between the GTX 680 and GTX 690 graphic cards. According to SweClockers, Nvidia’s Titan will appear late next month. Nvidia named the card with the reference of the Titan supercomputer built at Oak Ridge National Laboratory which uses the Nvidia Tesla K20X GPU with 18,688 nodes.
The GeForce Titan card is said to appear late next month for $899. The card will be using the GK110 viz. used in Nvidia’s Tesla range, but the Titan card is said to have at least one SMX unit disabled and hence it comes with 2688 CUDA cores. Chances are that Titan should consume less power in comparison with the Tesla K20X which is rated at 235w.
