Nvidia Shield Gaming Tablet Review

Shield Comparison

The new Shield Tablet and the Shield Controller share a few design features of the original Shield; since I have both at my disposal, I thought it would be great to get them along side so you can see the difference in size, ergonomics, etc. One advantage of the original Shield is that it’s an all-in-one unit; the screen, controller and technically its own hard case, were all one and the same.

The original Shield was quite bulky and a little heavy, but since you didn’t have to pack the controller separately it was rather convenient. Of course the Tablet can easily fit in a slimmer bag, or be carried in your hand for general use a lot easier than the original.

As a child still in my 30's (but not for long), I spend my day combining my love of music and movies with a life-long passion for gaming, from arcade classics and retro consoles to the latest high-end PC and console games. So it's no wonder I write about tech and test the latest hardware while I enjoy my hobbies!
