Nvidia has been dropping a number of surprises lately with the new GTX 1080 Ti and Titan Xp. Both launches were kept well under wraps with no real hints or leaks before launch. Changing things up, it looks like the company may be gearing up for another major launch this month. In a new teaser, all Nvidia has to say is that “It’s Coming” on April 29th.
So far, Nvidia is not let on what they will be announcing. The last time we got a major teaser like this, we had the GTX 1080 Ti arrive at the GeForce Celebration. Some possibilities are new graphics cards or perhaps even the new Volta architecure. Given the recent release of Pascal based cards and various refreshes, any Volta card would likely not be GeForce.
Normally, such teasers are also reserved for consumer equipment and technology. If it is not GeForce, then the other major product lineup would be Shield. As we’ve already gotten a Shield set top box refresh, a tablet could be a possibility. It could also be a whole new Shield device like a VR headset of some kind as well. Luckily, we only have just over 2 weeks before we find out.
