Nvidia has today announced the world’s first Tegra 3 powered super phones at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. The list includes the HTC One X, LG Optimus 4X HD, ZTE Era, Fujitsu’s Ultra High Spec Smartphone and the K-Touch Treasure V8.
With the Tegra 3, already announced quite some time ago, the new super phones will run at speeds of up to 1.5GHz thanks to the unique 4-PLUS-1 quad-core CPU architecture that delivers outstanding performance and amazing battery life. The 12-core GPU will give it another boost in performance, set to deliver up to five times the performance of the previous Tegra 2.
“The year of the quad-core phone has truly begun,” said Michael Rayfield, General Manager of theMobilebusiness at NVIDIA. “But quad-core still isn’t enough. With Tegra 3 we built a processor with unique 4-PLUS-1 quad-core architecture so that you can get great battery life and performance when you need it.”
Equipped with the all new Tegra 3, the five super phones will deliver ultra-fast web browsing, high-quality gaming and extreme multitasking balanced with a long battery life.
Taking advantage of Tegra 3-optimized mobile games to deliver more realism with dynamic lighting, physical effects and high resolution environments, you can found these games in the Tegra Zone, NVIDIA’s free Android Market app which showcases the best games optimized for the Tegra processor.
