With the GTX 1080 now revealed, Nvidia has opened the floodgates of information on us. Earlier in the day, the official GTX 1080 website went live, bringing us the reference specifications and details. That site showed us a few more angles of the card that weren’t in the presentation. Now, we’re getting some more pictures revealed courtesy of those at the event.
First off we have the picture from Techpowerup above. They got a look at a different GTX 1080 by its lonesome. You can’t see too much but you get the first look at the blackplate which I find stylish enough.
Next up, we have pictures from ASUS showing off GTX 1080 in SLI. With the use of only a single 8pin PCIe power connector, the whole package looks much more cleaner. While Nvidia could have gone for the more common 2x 6pin, the single connector provides a much cleaner look.
Overall, Nvidia has done a good job in my opinion with the GTX 1080 design. With only a single 8pin power connector, the card is that much better for it. With only a 180W TDP, this should be one of the quietest and coolest reference Nvidia flagship yet, provided they didn’t skip out on the actual cooler.
