NVIDIA’s RTX Remix Open Beta Available Now

From today, modders can enhance classic titles using the power of RTX Remix allowing anyone to give some of their favourite titles a proper remaster with the power of RTX.

RTX Remix Open Beta

The RTX Remix Open Beta is freely available now as an end-to-end platform to remaster DirectX 8 and 9 games using fixed function pipelines. It allows for the implementation of Raytracing, DLSS, Reflex, modern physically-based rendering (PBR) assets, and generative AI texture tools. RTX Remix is already being used in various titles all of which can be seen in our guide to RTX Remix.

I’m quite excited for this technology as implementing Ray-Tracing into older games is such a great way to give them new life, especially evident in Portal with RTX, Quake II RTX and the in progress Half Life 2 RTX. There’s a long list of games that will benefit from this but I can’t name them till I see them.

The RTX Remix Open Beta can be installed at NVIDIA.com, additionally a guide has been provided to help you get started with RTX Remix.
