NVIDIA’s Simultaneous Multi-Projection Can Power 16 Displays

The rapid technological progress of displays has resulted in many consumers opting for curved 21:9 models or a multi-monitor setup. To cater towards multi-monitor users, NVIDIA has developed a feature in their latest graphics architecture entitled, Simultaneous Multi-Projection. This allows the GPU to handle up to 16 displays to create an extremely immersive viewpoint. Not only that, Pascal is capable of projecting the same scene in 16 unique ways. This is a major departure from the previous system which could only render the one scene 16 times.
This should become really useful once paired with VR devices because the two lenses can be divided into sub-sections to comfortably work with the glass’ curved construction. According to NVIDIA, it’s perfectly feasible to achieve performance improvements around 50 to 60 percent.
