Performance

We’re not just playing with the Canvas monitors today, as I also have both the single and double monitor arms too, and first impressions are superb. These are some quality stands, and I think that shines through even in just a few simple photos. They’re really easy to assemble, and the clamp stand locks firmly onto your desktop of choice. Just make sure it’s strong enough to support the weight at a localised point.

The double arm, as you might expect, is basically the same, but with two of those movable ergonomic VESA mounts instead of one.

They fit right into the monitors 100×100 VESA mount too, and while they work great for these monitors, they’ll work on virtually any VESA 100 monitors you have.

It’s easy to get the monitor right where you need it, just a light grab on the sides and you can move it in out, up down, side to side, with minimal effort.

Another nice trick is that the arms support portrait mode too, so just spin your monitor 90 degrees clockwise or anticlockwise and you’re set.

Here you can see the 32″ in a dual monitor configuration.

And again with the 27″.

There’s a lot to love about these monitors, the colours look fantastic right out of the box, and the 2560 x 1440 resolution means that the pixel density is excellent for the size. That means side-by-side windows are very easy to read on the 27″ model.

It’s even better on the 32″ model too, with the slight curve really bringing everything into your peripheral vision.

The colour reproduction on both monitors looks great, but again, we’ll be running a calibration report on the next page to test that.

Both monitors use different panel technologies, the 27″ uses IPS, which really shows in the rich colours. However, the 32″ below is VA and still looks pretty fantastic actually. They both perform pretty close with really good colours and black levels.

For media consumption, the larger one is a little better, but hey, nobody wants a smaller TV for movies right?

That being said, 27″ is a really good size, and hardly a handicap for watching some movies, YouTube, etc.

However, it’s gaming performance where these monitors really shine, as they both have 165Hz refresh rates, making for ultra-smooth gaming. The 27″ IPS panel looks super clean, and the monitor and response times are really good overall, making it a strong contender for competitive gaming.

The larger and curved 32″ model is certainly the more immersive of the two, but overall, the both perform about the same. Just keep in mind, hitting such high refresh rates at 2560 x 1440 needs a pretty potent GPU, but for the most part, hitting over 100 FPS/Hz at this resolution is no more demanding than 4K60.
