How Much Does it Cost?

These aren’t the most expensive monitors in the world or the most expensive really, they’re priced fairly competitively relative to the specifications they offer. It’s great to see that NZXT has a few options to pick from, and overall, either the 27″ or the 32″ would look great in either black or white. As for the monitor arms, well, that’s really up to you if you need one, but we certainly love the appeal of the matching aesthetics. The monitor arms aren’t cheap, but again, their very high quality and the prices are competitive for similarly well-equipped monitor arms.

Overview

NZXT has taken things in a new direction today, launching an impressive range of new displays. Sure, they’re not the first PC hardware brand to move into the world of monitors, nor will they be the last. However, what matters is that they’ve done it now, and they’ve done it right. The new monitors are very high quality, you can see and feel that quality when you’re handing them, and they just have that feel of a well-made product.

Aesthetics

They look great too, and while I know the white monitor having a black front is going to divide some of you, it makes sense in terms of relative colour perception from your panel. Personally, I think it looks good, but then again, I’d be buying the black one myself, as that fits the aesthetics of my gaming setup and office. Overall though, the bezel, the back panel, and the stand are all very clean and simple in their design, and the minimalist look is backed up by solid ergonomics that take up little space and allow for easy adjustments.

Performance

A high resolution and high refresh rate panel goes a long way, and NZXT has picked two gorgeous panels for their latest monitors. It’s actually pretty hard to tell the difference between the VA and the IPS panel too, as they both have really strong colour reproduction and look very vibrant, especially in games, which tend to have richer colour pallets compared to most movies or online media. For working and media consumption both monitors held up really well.

Hitting a 165Hz refresh rate can be demanding on your hardware, even more so at 2560 x 1440 resolutions. However, any framerate will hold up well enough thanks to a 1ms GTG, and AMD FreeSync Premium, so even if you’re FPS does fluctuate, it’s not going to throw off the smooth experience much, if at all.

Should I Buy One?

Which colour, size or panel technology is right for you? That’s hard to say, but whichever of these monitors you choose based on which size you need, or simply your budget, you’ll certainly not be disappointed. They’re both very competitive, with plentiful connectivity, stylish aesthetics, great build quality, good ergonomics, and superb gaming performance. Plus, if you’re feeling fancy, the single and double monitor arms do look fantastic when paired with the monitors! Overall, highly recommended!
