NZXT Capsule and Boom Mini Review

Sometimes bigger is better, like with the number of GPU cores, or the size of a lottery win. But sometimes, good things really do come in small packages. We absolutely loved the NZXT Capsule microphone and the accompanying Boom Arm mounts they created. However, as the title may suggest, they’re now packed into a new Mini form factor and I could not be happier. I actually wanted to keep the old one, but it just took up too much space on my desk. I already have an ultrawide monitor, speakers, another monitor, a headphone stand, and more on my desk, so… it’s mini-time!

NZXT Capsule Mini

NZXT is well-known for its focus on high-end and enthusiast PC gamers and creators. That’s certainly not changed with the release of the Mini either. The Capsule Mini features impressive analogue to digital 24-bit/48khz resolution, a unidirectional cardioid polar pattern, which will help eliminate unwanted background noise such as clicks from mechanical keyboards, and with the new compact design, it’ll be even easier to integrate into your gaming space.

Features

  • Fun Size Plug-and-Play: Make epic callouts in 24-bit high resolution and plug-and-play simplicity to make streaming seamless in a compact form factor.
  • Clear Sound: Incredible analogue-to-digital conversion ensures your voice will be the clearest in the lobby.
  • Designed for Gamers: Capsule Mini is designed to block out unwanted background noise using a unidirectional cardioid polar pattern. The internal capsule is tuned for speech in a gaming environment, optimizing vocal clarity while you’re in the game.
  • Colours: White and Black
  • Capsule Mini MSRP: $69.99/£59.99
  • Boom Arm Mini MSRP: $69.99/£59.99
  • Availability: At Amazon now, additional retailers coming soon

What NZXT Had to Say

“With NZXT Capsule and Capsule Mini, jump right into gaming or streaming with the peace of mind that everything is already optimized for your voice. There’s nothing to configure, we’ve done the work for you. Make clutch call-outs, laugh with friends, or captivate your audience. One simple plug makes play possible.”
