NZXT is one of the coolest brands around for PC enthusiasts. While they’re better known for their slick PC cases and power supplies, in recent years, they’ve been steadily pushing into new markets. They’ve had some success with their ultra-stylish gaming motherboards, and now, they’re taking a fresh crack at the audio market, with the launch of their latest USB microphone.
The NZXT Capsule is a high-quality USB Microphone, targeted firmly at gamers and streamers. That means it’s going up against Corsair, Razer, Blue, HyperX and a few others in this fiercely competitive market.
The NZXT Capsule, available in black and white versions, allowing you some choice on the style. It’s a cardioid microphone, making it perfect for desktop use and in a polar configuration that shouldn’t be bothered by background noises. Furthermore, there’s no software here, it’s just a plug and play setup that uses a USB-C cable. That means you get straight to the action with no complex setup and adjustments required.
“We really wanted to focus on giving gamers and streamers what they truly need.” says Johnny
Hou, NZXT’s founder and CEO. “That is why with NZXT Capsule there are no unnecessary
polar partners or software requirements for using. It is just an elegant microphone that simply
plugs in and works.”
Sold separately is a boom arm that has been specifically designed with the NZXT capsule in
mind. Just simply detach the microphone from the USB stand and attach it to the boom arms
simply.
The NZXT Capsule USB Microphone has an MSRP of just £109.99. However, you can also get the optional boom arm for an additional £79.99 should you desire that. It’ll be available at Scan here in the UK, or from NZXT.com in the US.
