NZXT H400i Tempered Glass Mid-Tower Chassis Review

Complete System

Building a system inside the H400i was an absolute pleasure. Of course, it being a more compact micro-ATX form factor does have its pitfalls. However, being a bit tight on space and less cable “cramming” space is to be expected. Although, just look at that final build, neat and tidy as anyone could hope for!

The dedicated 2.5″ mount doing a great job, perfect for showing off your drives.

CPU cooler mounting clearance is really good, and you could even get a Noctua NH-D15S in here! There’s plenty of room up top, in the front, and in the back too, so water cooling is certainly not impossible here.

Our massive GPU has plenty of room to spare too. There’s room between it and the front fans, and it’ll certainly get lots of cool air with the fans blowing right through it.

The horizontal cable routing holes work a treat too, allowing easy passthrough of the GPU power cable. Look closer, what’s that below the motherboard? Why it’s the extra LED strip that was included in the box, so that should look awesome when we turn the power on!

Overall, this is a super clean and stylish looking build.

It looks even better with the tempered glass panel in place, but of course, we can go one further.

Power up the LED lighting and the H400i really comes to life. You can turn the lighting off completely if you so desire. However, with CAM software or your motherboard RGBW headers, you can customise it to suit your taste.
