The NZXT H5 Flow doesn’t really change much from the other cases in the current H-series range, it really is more of a difference in size. The H5 is a more traditional mid-tower, and the H7 is closer to a full-tower. But without a doubt, with that large tempered glass side panel it sure does look great! The case is all a matching black too, so it’s got a pretty stealthy aesthetic to it considering it has both tempered glass and RGB.
The right side panel is a flush-mounted solid metal panel, and it is simple but very clean-looking overall.
The front panel is what the Flow is all about though, with a massive amount of ventilation stamped into the metal front cover, that not only looks aesthetically pleasing but will obviously allow for a lot more airflow to the front-mounted fans.
Around the back, it’s a fairly standard ATX configuration, with a rear-mounted fan, the motherboard I/O, some expansion slots, and the PSU mount.
Each expansion slot is fitted with a reusable and ventilated metal cover too; you won’t find cheap snap-off covers here!
Up on top, you’ve got a flush-mounted dust filter covering almost the entire panel.
Obviously, it’s magnetic, so just pull it up to give it a clean.
Remove it entirely to access the 120/140mm fan mounts located at the top of the case.
I love little details, and the USB port is finished in a fetching NZXT purple. The case does use a combi jack for front panel audio, but a Y-splitter is included in the box should you need it.
Finally, the underside of the case has a handy slide-out dust filter for the PSU too, and a second one at the front for the shroud fan (more on that later) meaning all intakes are filtered on this case.
