NZXT H510 Mid-Tower Case Review

Interior

The side panel removes with just a single thumbscrew at the rear. The design means you can quickly and easily access the case interior; which I love!

There’s quite a bit of room in here, albeit it’s not huge, but the clean design means it looks bigger than it actually is. There’s a good size CPU cooler mounting cut-out behind the motherboard and routing holes where you need them most.

PSU Shroud

The shroud will hide all the cable gore out of sight easily enough. Plus, there’s a vertical pass-through for motherboard and GPU cables too.

There are two fans built into the case as standard; both are setup as exhaust. That seems strange, I mean, why no intake fans? Well, the case it configured to take an AIO right in the front panel. However, you could move the fans around if you wanted to go for an air-cooled build.

Routing

The cable routing is quite clever though. There’s a single folded metal bar that provides a cable routing/hiding option. It’s typical for NZXT to use this design, but it looks fantastic, so why change it!

Removable

Mounting an AIO or fans in the front panel couldn’t be easier either. The entire front wall bracket is held in with two thumbscrews, so you can lift it right out.

Around the Back

The right side panel is a thick metal panel, and it has a nice quality feel to it. As I said, the airflow for the front panel actually comes through the ventilation on this panel. As you can see, there’s a clip-in dust filter, ensuring clean airflow throughout.

If you look at the left of the image below, you’ll see a large rectangle cut out of the backplate; this allows the airflow to pass easily to the front fans.

Funky Routing

Those custom cable channels are quite cool too. They should help you more easily route your cables. Plus, so built-in Velcro straps will help you keep it all neat and tidy.

Storage

There’s a HDD cage in the base (see above) but also a pair of SSD mounts directly behind the motherboard. I love the NZXT branding on those, and even on the cable straps! It’s little details like this that give the H510 a premium look and feel.
