NZXT H7 Elite Case Review

Complete System
Putting this system together was a bit of a breeze, but since it’s the same interior design as the H7 and the H7 Flow, it’s fair to say I’m getting used to working with it. The white finish looks even better now though, providing a strong contrast for the hardware. Everything really pops out rather than blends in. Of course, if you prefer it to blend, remember the case is available in black too.
Much like the other models, the E-ATX motherboard I used barely fits, pressing hard against the cable routing cover on the right. If NZXT trimmed this cable cover down a little bit, they could greatly improve their motherboard compatibility. However, I strongly suggest sticking with ATX motherboards in this case, just to ensure your hardware is compatibl.e
The airflow looks decent enough, with a full bank of fans in the front blowing over all the hardware. However, with just the one side vent on the front, will it be able to draw in enough airflow to cool the hardware?
The cable management options on the NZXT H7 Elite are superb, with lots of room behind the motherboard, the PSU shroud, and large cable routing holes surrounding the motherboard, making for a great looking build overall.
The front fans look great, and they’re really easy to setup, as they’re all pre-wired to the hub, and all the cables are already routed neatly out of sight.
There’s loads of room in here too, allowing you space for large radiators in the front and top.
Plus, while the GTX 1080 Ti fits with ease, we can’t think of any consumer GPU that wouldn’t fit in here, including the flagship RTX 3080 Ti’s from ASUS and MSI, which are HUGE.
I love the vertical PSU cable pass-through too, it’s so much cleaner than running the cables over or under the GPU.
With all the panels back in place, the H7 Elite really stands out from the crowd. Crisp white paint, crystal clear glass, and those lovely RGB fans all come together to create a stylish and premium looking PC build.
