There are three NZXT cases launching today, all listed below. Looking at the feature and most certainly their performance, I’d say the NZXT H7 Flow is the best value for money. It runs cooler, and quieter and offers the best overall value of the three. Based on its price and performance, I think I’d have a hard time selling you on the standard H7. I’d only recommend that if you were completely changing the fan configuration for something more robust. The Elite is cool, but it’s certainly more for showing off than it is for adding any practical advantage, as it’s louder and more expensive overall.
NZXT is really nailing it when it comes to their build quality. The NZXT H7 Elite is a great looking case, and while it is fairly expensive, you can feel the overall equality in its weight. There are a lot of raw materials here, and every single bit of it feels well put together. Despite the glass, right side panel, and top panel all being tool-free, nothing ever feels loose or rattles. The older H7 cases were well made too, but this one feels like their most robust to date.
The addition of two tempered glass windows looks stunning, and if you’re eager to show off your hardware, this case will certainly help you do that. The glass is extra clear, and the white paint makes your hardware really stand out. If you wanted something understated, a bright white case with RGB fans certainly isn’t it.
Of course, when it comes to acoustics and cooling, the H7 Elite just misses the mark, and NZXT just can’t compete with… well, NZXT. The H7 Flow is a great looking case in its own right but runs cooler and quiet in general. NZXT forgot that the most premium version of the case should really perform the best too. I also find it strange that the rear fan doesn’t match the front fans, it feels like they cheaped out on that one to me.
If it were my money, I’d buy the H7 Flow all day long. However, I’d really want the Flow with three 140mm RGB fans in the front and one in the rear, so who knows, perhaps NZXT will take this advice and give us the H7 Flow V2, and it’ll be one of the best products they’ve ever put to market!
