NZXT HALE90 750W Power Supply Unit Review

In a cold load test we run the PSU in an open air environment to see what the unit is capable without the limiting factor of heat. We hook the PSU up to our load tester and measure the voltage of the various rails as well as measuring the efficiency.
This shows that it has very strong rails even under full load. The only slight issue is the voltage regulation which I thought was a little liberal with some pretty high voltages- still way within ATX specs so really nothing to worry about. Remember, having a fraction of a volt over is a non-issue, but when you start having the same amount under it starts to get dangerous- undervolting components like a graphics card can lead to some really serious problems. Despite the lenient voltage regulation, the rails are very strong and reliable.
As for efficiency, this thing is excellent! It falls well within the specs for 80+ Gold and holds it’s efficiency well at the high and low extremes of load.
