NZXT Kraken 360 RGB White AIO Cooler Review

A Closer Look

The design isn’t exactly reinventing the wheel or anything, it’s a 360mm white AIO cooler, and pretty much hits the mark on my expectations of what that would look like. However, the quality is very good overall, with three colour matched white fans, all NZXT’s own PWM RGB design.

There are rubber o-rings on the corners that will prevent vibrations, and they operate from 500 to 1800 RPM and are rated for 78.86 CFM and high static pressure, which is great given they’re going on a radiator.

The cables, both the RGB and the PWM, are each are 60cm long.

All the fittings are standard enough, given it’s an Asetek design, it’s pretty much the industry standard with broad support for all major Intel and AMD platforms of the last decade or so.

There’s an included SATA-powered hub, which is for the RGB sync only, the PWM fans need to go to the motherboard using the included splitter cable should you need it.

The radiator has a good fin density and supports mounting of the fans on either side, or you could add more fans for push-pull if you desired, although that’s rarely needed on slimmer radiators.

The side plates aren’t removable, but they do look good and have that NZXT logo pressed into them.

The pump has a large copper plate, and pre-applied thermal paste too, so it’s pretty much ready to plug and play.

With the fans installed, we’re ready to rock, so let’s go get it on the test bench!
