Installation
Fitting the X52 is pretty straight forward. If you’ve ever fitted an AIO before, you know the score here. There’s a back plate, four peg screws, and four thumb screws. The whole thing takes a few minutes to install, The LED lighting effect is awesome, with an infinity mirror design that shows endless rings going through the pump. It’s RGB too, so with CAM software, you can tweak this extensively. However, there’s just one little problem…
The cable gore on this cooler is horrific. Of course, it’s not the only one like this on the market, but surely we can think of a more ergonomic solution?
The cable comes with four fan headers, so you can add extra fans for push and pull. Of course, this means that most users will have more headers than needed, which means more excess cable. Then you’ve got the SATA power connector, then the USB header to connect to your motherboard. When it comes to cable routing, you’re going to have some work ahead of you if you seek a clean build.
