NZXT has confirmed that the Kraken X63 RGB is available to purchase now for a price of £179.99. Admittedly, this is rather a lot of money. In fact, you can buy many 360mm AIO cooling solutions for notable less than this. You do, however, have to consider exactly what you’re paying for. The Kraken X63 RGB, despite only(?) being a 280mm AIO cooler massively outperforms the vast majority of its competition and by a pretty huge margin too.
Ultimately though, you get what you pay for. And for a premium solution like the Kraken X63 RGB, we think the price is strongly competitive based on the amazingly high level of performance it offers!
As clearly highlighted in our testing, the NZXT Kraken X63 RGB is one of the best AIO cooling solutions we have ever encountered. Taking into consideration that this is a 280mm design, it’s frankly more than a little remarkable that this has been capable of providing results that most would associate with premium 360mm models. It’s not just in terms of CPU temperatures either as throughout all of our testing this remained exceptionally quiet!
On more of an aesthetic level, however, I absolutely love this new White variant. Don’t get me wrong, the black was good, but for a clean and sleek presentation, and particularly so when sat inside a system, this new version really takes things to a whole new level and especially so in how it contrasts so well with the bright and vivid ARGB lighting.
The NZXT Kraken X63 RGB is an amazing AIO cooling solution and will not disappoint anyone who purchases it. The only caveat in that respect, however, might be the price tag. Although it’s clearly worth every penny based on the performance it offers, it’s not cheap. As such, for as good as this is, I do wonder if the pricing makes it mildly uncompetitive for the casual consumer who might simply view a significantly less expensive 360mm alternative, incorrectly, as a ‘better’ option.
If you do, however, value sleek aesthetics, low CPU temperatures, and whisper-quiet performance, the NZXT Kraken X63 RGB is, without a doubt, one of the best options currently available on the market that should provide a perfect level of performance and case compatibility for the vast majority of PC consumers!
