NZXT undoubtedly represents one of the most respected names when it comes to premium-level PC components. Admittedly, and getting one elephant out of the room very quickly, they don’t have a reputation for being cheap. As is often the case with anything PC hardware-related, however, you do (in most instances) tend to get what you pay for and particularly so when dealing with enthusiast-level brands such as this.
With the launch of their newly revised Kraken X63 RGB AIO liquid cooler, therefore, while the price might be a sticking point for many, it will undoubtedly carry a huge level of performance to back it up!
Although initially only available in black, NZXT recently announced the launch of newly revised designs that has made the X63 now available in a brilliant white colouring. The enhancements, however, do not end there as NZXT has also applied several improvements to the overall design (in terms of performance, aesthetics, and functionality) that should, all going well, make this even more potent than the already impressive original model. Without a doubt, however, one of the most initially eye-catching aspects is how well the white plays off against the bright and vibrant ARGB lighting. Not to mention that CPU block with its ‘infinity glass’ design and significantly improved LED capabilities.
Available in 240mm, 280mm, and 360mm variants, for this review, we will specifically be taking a closer look at the X63 280mm model. A size that, we feel, is one of the most accessible for consumers looking for high-performance AIO cooling solutions but perhaps with cases not quite suited to larger designs.

Although the ‘Black’ variant is pictured below, we can confirm that the dimensions are precisely the same for this white model.
“The Kraken X-3 RGB is a stunning must-have for any build with the addition of NZXT RGB fans. You can fine-tune settings with CAM’s software interface, ensuring optimal performance and giving you complete RGB control. The new Kraken X series maintains the customizable lighting effects and quiet performance of previous generations and adds a RGB connector for even more RGB options. With a re-designed cap and larger infinity mirror ring LED, the Kraken X-3 RGB delivers an amazing experience in luminous liquid cooling, backed by a 6-year warranty.”
