NZXT Launches BLD 60fps+ PC Building Service

PC hardware maker NZXT has launched BLD, a new PC building service aimed at gamers. Customers can get a custom build designed to run any chosen game at no less than 60fps, or your money back.
BLD a PC
Johnny Hou, NZXT’s CEO and founder, told Polygon:
“We see it more as a service than a traditional system integration. Other places there’s model A, model B and model C. There is no such thing with this service. All of the systems you’re going to get come from an engine.
Last year when VR was super hot I had a ton of friends call me up. ‘Hey Johnny! I want to build a computer for PC gaming. What should I build?’ And I was just thinking to myself, ‘How is this still such a problem?’ It’s been years and people are still not finding it very easy to buy a gaming PC.”
Once guided, NZXT’s algorithm calculates the optimal specification for your new PC. Hou explained:
“There’s no human that’s involved as part of that process.”
A Risk
Hou admits that the success, or not, of BLD is difficult to predict. However, he is confident the service, the only of its kind, will appeal to gamers. He said:
“We really don’t know if it’s going to work. When you come to the website there’s no systems to click on. As a gamer, you think about the games first. Content drives the hardware business.”
BLD Launch Date
NZXT BLD systems, available from the website, ship this week.
