NZXT Phantom 410 Mid Tower Chassis Review

So, have NZXT done it again with their increasingly popular Phantom range?

Aesthetics are incredibly important for any computer item these days, especially a case. NZXT’s Phantom 410 does have a slightly ‘Marmite’ hate-it-or-love-it design. The angular curves and intrusive style are sure to turn heads, but will also turn some people off. A variety of colours currently consisting of red, white and black, but sure to expand, helps the Phantom 410 appeal to an even wider audience.

Feature wise, NZXT have excelled yet again. Excellent cable management features, brilliant expansion options, very few clearance issues and a roomy interior are all major selling factors for the Phantom 410. Convenience is another good point. Each PCI slots is easily accessible making installing expansion cards a breeze. The tool-less 5.25″ installation method is effective and surprisingly secure. A reversed hard drive cage was a bold move, but a smart one. Instead of having to remove both side panels to install a HDD or SSD, you only need to remove the right side panel to install and connect the drive.

Extensive cooling capability is a must on any modern gaming case. Phantom 410 buyers need not worry about an overheating system! NZXT supply 3 of their quiet fans with the case and provide room to add a whopping 8 in total. The 7 channel, 3 step fan controller ensures your ears won’t hate you for choosing cooling performance over acoustic output. Clearance large enough to house the biggest and best graphics cards with huge coolers and monstrous dual-tower CPU coolers such as the Phanteks PH-TC14PE ensures you won’t be limited in terms of system overclockability due to cooling limitations.

At £94.09 NZXT’s Phantom 410 enters a competitive market but comes out fighting. It offers excellent and thoughtful features, extreme cooling potential, a modern and stylish design style and a very attractive price tag. NZXT have a mid tower charm in their Phantom 410 which is a successful and worthwhile addition to the commendable Phantom family.
