NZXT Respire T40 CPU Cooler Review

Due to the implementation of 3 pin fans on the Respire T40, we tested it at both high and low speeds since PWM isn’t an option. In a stock configuration you can see performance is actually very pleasing. The Respire T40 sits at the higher end of the pack offering very competitive temperatures with both low and high fan speeds.

Once you introduce overclocking the Respire T40 starts to fall down the rankings a bit but it still does well. The NZXT Respire T40 with low fan speeds manages to fight off the Dark Rock 2, and come just in behind the Spire TME III. Factor in the higher fan speed and naturally you get better performance but with a noticeable noise penalty.
