With a fixed fan speed comes fixed acoustics. We can see the low fan speed is only 45 dBA which is reasonable. In my opinion the high fan speed is too loud for 24/7 use and I would advise against it.

When you start looking at overclocked acoustics, you can see suddenly the Respire T40 looks actually very competitive even though nothing changes. I think using the Respire T40 with low fan speeds gives the best balance between acoustics and performance that some other CPU coolers can’t match.
