NZXT Signal 4K30 Capture Card Review

NZXT may be well known for high-end PC cases, coolers, peripherals and more. However, today they’re pushing into a new market, with the release of their new capture cards! Now, I’ve already taken a look at the HD60 version today, but this is the more powerful 4K30 version. If you’re a content creator or streamer, having a versatile capture card that’s easy to use can be a vital component of your setup. While the HD version may be enough for a lot of gamers, is the more expensive 4K version better? Let’s find out!

NZXT Signal 4K30

With HDMI 2.0 input and USB 3.2 (Gen 1) Type C connectivity, the whole thing is pretty much plug-and-play. What’s great about this unit is the passthrough capabilities, as it’ll work with 4K 60 Hz, 2K/HD 144 Hz, and HD 240 Hz and also with HDR enabled too. That means you can capture at 1080P 120, 2K 60, and 4K 30 while still enjoying the full benefits of your higher resolution and refresh rate displays with extremely low latency in the chain.

What NZXT Had to Say

“Vividly stream your game and captivate your audience. The Signal 4K30 captures high-quality gameplay from consoles, smartphones, cameras, or a second PC. Play at 4K60 HDR and 240Hz at Full HD (1080p) with zero-lag passthrough and stream at up to 4K30 or 1080p60 for a smooth distraction-free stream. The Signal 4K30 is plug-and-play with any streaming software” – NZXT
