$200 Wireless VR Headset
Oculus is a giant in the Virtual Reality world, with the immensely successful Rift bringing VR to homes since 2016. The only roadblock in accessibility was the price tag. However, Facebook owned Oculus is working on a $200 wireless version for 2018.
Portable high-end VR?
Virtual Reality is a booming business right now. Of Course, the price isn’t quite as enticing. Oculus has set to work on creating a budget, wireless variant. Codenamed ‘Pacific’ the unit is aimed at gaming, video and social media use. The headset will work with your PC. However, the set will also run from your phone. Whats more is that it will be portable enough to fit into a bag.
When is it Available?
Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook has speculated rumours of such a device during a 2016 Oculus developer conference. He feels this would fill a middle ground between Samsung Gear and Oculus Rift. It is expected to be completed in 2018.
More information regarding project ‘Pacific’ will be confirmed as we hear more. Would you invest in such a product?
