The ARC 100 comes in a beautiful finished metal case and with a full cover sticker on top. The sticker displays the OCZ logo as well as the ARC series name.
The sticker with all the relevant information is located on the bottom side of the SSD. Brand and product names, product and serial numbers as well as a bunch of certification logos. Size and firmware version are also given. On my test sample the QR code only gave out specification numbers, but I’m sure in the final version it will lead you to the product page.
Taking a look inside the ARC 100, we see the Barefoot 3 controller firmly seated in the middle and a heatpad to help transfer the heat to the metal casing.
Looking at the top side we see 8 Toshiba A19nm nand chips surrounding the Indilinx Barefoot controller.
A Closer look at the Indilinx Barefoot 3 M10 controller and the Toshiba A19nm nand flash.
On the other side we find another 8 Toshiba A19nm nand chips.
