OCZ has announced a new addition to their SSD product line, the OCZ Indilinx SSD based on the Everest Series SATA 6Gbps platform.
Not much is known, only that it’s 25% slimmer than the traditional 9.5mm 2.5-inch HDD/SSD, making it only 7.5mm thick.
The only product featuring this new SSD are the P220 Series, LG’s ultra-thin notebooks meaning the size reduction allowed it to house this SSD.
Included in the P220 Series, thanks to this new SSD, is the “fast boot” technology as well as improved performance, increased battery life and “instant-on” functionality.
LG is the only one using these SSDs, more precisely the 128GB version, but we’re sure that we’ll hear more about OCZ’s new introduction soon enough.
