Microsoft’s uber popular productivity suite, Office, will reach iOS and Android devices in early-2013. The apps will be natively-driven, with the news being revealed at a press event in the Czech Republic earlier today with Microsoft product manager Petr Bobek unveiling the news to Czech site IHNED.
The Verge saw a press release from Microsoft’s Czech Republic team that confirmed the availability of Office for iOS and Android. Microsoft have said that “in addition to Windows, Office will be also available on other operating systems, Windows Phone, Windows RT, Mac OS, Android, iOS and Symbian.”
The press release also mentions that Office 2013 will reach businesses later this year, with the consumer launch aiming for February 2013. Microsoft adds “Office 365 services and other Office products for mobile (phones and tablets) will be released from March 2013”.
